190 GSM Tencel Woven Fabric with Soft Summer Drape

Smooth Handfeel and Fluid Body Movement

The 100% Tencel construction provides a smooth touch and a softer drape than many conventional cotton shirting qualities. At 190 GSM, the fabric has enough substance to support the collar, pocket and front placket while remaining comfortable for warm-weather layering and relaxed summer silhouettes.

Pre-Production Stability Checks

Fabric relaxation, shrinkage, seam slippage and colorfastness should be tested before grading and bulk cutting. These checks help control the finished chest width, sleeve length and body proportion while reducing distortion around the button placket and tie-front extensions after laundering.

Botanical Print Direction and Pocket Placement

The white leaf artwork is distributed across the blue base as an all-over botanical print. Print scale, direction and color contrast should be approved on full-width fabric before marker preparation so the finished garments maintain a consistent visual balance.

The chest patch pocket sits directly over the printed front body. Pocket placement and fabric direction should therefore be checked carefully. Depending on the collection direction, the pocket can either follow the surrounding print more closely or use a deliberately offset motif for a more casual appearance.

Collar Shape, Button Placket and Neckline Balance

The classic turn-down collar gives the shirt a familiar button-up structure while allowing the front neckline to be worn open. Collar point length, stand height and neckline circumference should be evaluated together so both collar sides sit evenly without curling or pulling backward.

The narrow front placket uses small matching buttons. Button spacing and buttonhole direction need consistent control so the front remains flat and does not gape across the chest. Interlining may be adjusted according to the required softness and collar structure.

Roll-Tab Sleeves and Cuff Construction

The short sleeves include folded cuffs secured with button tabs, allowing the sleeve shape to remain relaxed while adding a functional utility detail. Sleeve length, cuff depth and tab placement should match on both sides so the rolled finish remains symmetrical.

The tab attachment points require reinforcement because they are handled repeatedly during dressing. Stitch density should suit the Tencel fabric without creating puckering or visible tension around the sleeve surface.

Adjustable Tie-Front Hem for Flexible Styling

Extended front panels form a tie at the waist, while the back body remains cleaner and easier to tuck or wear loose. Tie length, width and finished angle should be approved on body so the knot sits comfortably without adding excessive bulk at the center front.

The design can be styled with high-rise shorts, skirts, wide-leg pants or matching printed bottoms, making it suitable for resort and coordinated capsule development.

Custom Options for Private Label Programs

Private label Tencel shirt development may include:

  • Alternative Tencel blends, fabric weights and surface finishes
  • Custom botanical, geometric or placement-print artwork
  • Adjustments to collar shape, body length and shoulder width
  • Short sleeves, roll-tab sleeves or full-length sleeve options
  • Straight hems, curved hems or adjustable front-tie constructions
  • Custom buttons, labels, hangtags and branded packaging

Sample approval should confirm the fabric drape, print direction, pocket placement, collar balance, sleeve-tab position, tie length and post-wash measurements before bulk production begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the botanical print be customized?

Yes. Artwork scale, color combination, repeat direction and print placement can be developed from the approved original design files.

Can the tie-front hem be changed to a regular shirt hem?

Yes. The body can use a straight, curved, cropped or longer shirt-tail hem depending on the collection requirements.

Can the chest pocket be removed?

Yes. The patch pocket can be removed, resized or repositioned, and additional pockets can be developed during sample preparation.

What should be approved before manufacturing?

Confirm fabric weight, shrinkage, print scale, collar shape, button spacing, pocket alignment, sleeve-tab position, tie length and finished measurements.

Approve Print Direction and Tie Length Before Bulk Cutting

Review the sample for collar balance, chest ease, print positioning, pocket alignment, sleeve-tab symmetry, front-tie proportion and post-wash dimensions. For sampling and quotation, provide the target quantity, size range, preferred fit, original print artwork, color standard, button requirements, labels, packaging details and available technical files.
