Product Details

This wash-down lyocell denim tailored vest combines a deep V-neckline with a fitted paneled body, metal button closure and pointed front hem. The washed blue denim keeps a familiar jeans appearance while falling more smoothly than rigid cotton denim. It works alone or with matching denim separates.

270 GSM Lyocell Denim with Tailored Flexibility
Softness Balanced with Panel Definition
Lyocell contributes a smoother touch and more fluid drape than rigid denim. Polyester supports stability, rayon adds softness, and 1% spandex provides light flexibility through the fitted waist and chest.
Managing the Wash-Down Blue Shade
The wash process should create an even medium-blue tone while preserving seam definition and fabric strength. Bulk standards should define shade range and surface fading. Colorfastness, crocking, shrinkage and strength should be tested after washing.
V-Neckline and Button-Front Alignment
The V-neck edges should remain symmetrical and lie flat against the body. Button spacing, buttonhole direction and front overlap require accurate placement. Interfacing should stabilize the opening without making it rigid.
Shaping Seams and Fitted Waist Control
Building Shape Through Vertical Panels
Long vertical seams shape the bust and waist while visually lengthening the torso. Curves should sew smoothly without puckering after washing. Seam allowances and feed control must keep both sides symmetrical.
Allowing Comfort Without Losing the Tailored Line
Chest width, waist suppression and armhole depth should be reviewed together. The pattern cannot rely on 1% spandex alone for comfort, so grading must preserve movement.
Pointed Hem and Armhole Finishing
The pointed hem requires balanced angles and equal length on both sides. Armholes must follow the body smoothly without gaping.
Wash Stability for Tailored Denim Components
Lyocell-rich denim may show fibrillation, puckering or growth if washing is not controlled. Panels should rest before cutting, with final measurements approved after washing. Buttons must also withstand laundering.

Buyer FAQs for Lyocell Denim Vests
Is TENCEL™ the same as lyocell?
TENCEL™ is a branded lyocell fiber. Documentation should confirm whether the supplied lyocell is TENCEL™ branded.
Can the vest be developed with a looser fit?
Yes. Chest width, waist shaping and armhole depth can be adjusted during sampling.
Will the wash affect the button-front alignment?
It can if shrinkage is not controlled. Front alignment should be checked after the approved wash process.
What should be confirmed before manufacturing?
Confirm wash shade, shrinkage, neckline symmetry, panel balance, button placement, armhole fit and finished measurements.
Approving the Washed Panel Balance Before Button Placement Is Finalized
Review the sample for neckline symmetry, chest fit, armhole coverage, hem balance and post-wash dimensions. For sampling and quotation, provide the quantity, size range, wash reference, hardware standard, fit requirements, branding details and technical specifications.
