320 GSM Modal-Blend Knit with Smooth Structure
Polyester Stability and Modal Softness
Polyester provides dimensional control and supports the clean body shape, while modal improves softness and drape. At 320 GSM, the fabric has enough substance to hold the large hood and covered front closure without appearing rigid.
High Stretch for Movement and Recovery
The 8.6% spandex content provides flexibility through the shoulders, elbows and torso. Recovery should be checked after wear and laundering so the relaxed silhouette does not become loose or uneven. Seam extension must remain compatible with the fabric.
Oversized Hood and Raised Front Neckline
The hood frames the face with a deeper opening and connects to a higher front neckline for additional coverage. Hood depth, opening circumference and neckline height should be approved together. The construction must remain comfortable without pulling the front body backward.
Concealed Full-Zip Front Construction
Maintaining a Clean Covered Closure
The zipper is visually softened by a front cover panel, creating a more minimal exterior. The cover width, zipper position and topstitch alignment should remain straight from neckline to hem.
Preventing Rippling Along the Center Front
Stretch differences between zipper tape, facing and body fabric may cause waviness. Stabilization and sewing tension should be tested so the closure lies flat when fully zipped and when worn open.
Drop Shoulders and Sleeve Proportion
Dropped shoulders and fuller sleeves create the relaxed direction of the hoodie. Armhole depth, sleeve pitch and cuff position should be reviewed on body so the sleeves hang evenly and the hood remains balanced.
Wide Cuffs and Gathered Hem Control
Wide cuffs help control the sleeve opening without adding a tight sportswear finish. The lower body gathers softly into the hem, creating a subtle blouson shape. Hem ratio, cuff recovery and attachment tension require approval after washing.
Surface Stability and Post-Wash Performance
The modal-blend knit should be tested for shrinkage, pilling, colorfastness, seam growth and surface distortion. Because modal and spandex respond differently to heat and moisture, care instructions should be based on completed wash testing.
