This custom sleeveless snap polo top combines a fitted black body with a white point collar and contrast half placket finished with metal snap closures. The cotton-rayon stretch knit provides a soft, smooth handfeel with comfortable recovery, while the fabric develops from 250 GSM before washing to 286 GSM after washing. Its monochrome construction supports preppy casualwear, modern workwear, travel capsules and coordinated lifestyle ranges.

After-Wash Density and Finished Fabric Control
250 GSM before Washing and 286 GSM after Washing
The increase in measured weight indicates that the fabric becomes more compact during the approved wash or finishing process. This denser finished structure gives the sleeveless top stronger coverage and a more substantial handfeel than a lightweight polo tank.
Shrinkage Allowance and Finished Measurements
Pattern dimensions should be based on verified lengthwise and widthwise shrinkage rather than GSM change alone. Washing temperature, drying method and conditioning time must remain consistent between sample testing and bulk production so body length, chest width and armhole depth stay within tolerance.
Black-and-White Contrast Construction
The white collar and placket form the main visual feature against the black body. Collar shape, point length, placket width and front opening depth should be evaluated as one construction so the contrast section remains centered and symmetrical.
The collar and placket fabrics should be tested with the black body for color migration, staining and wash resistance. Thread, interfacing and binding materials must also follow the approved contrast standard.
Metal Snap Placket and Reinforcement
The short front opening uses metal snaps rather than conventional buttons. Snap size, spacing and setting pressure should be tested against the finished 286 GSM fabric to prevent visible impressions, fabric damage or loose attachment.
Internal reinforcement helps distribute stress around each snap. The completed placket should open smoothly without stretching the neckline or pulling the two front edges out of alignment.
Armhole Binding and Shoulder Coverage
The sleeveless shape uses broad shoulders for more coverage than a narrow tank top. Shoulder width, armhole depth and chest ease should be checked together so the upper body remains polished without restricting movement.
Armhole binding requires controlled extension. Excess tension may pull the edges inward, while insufficient recovery may cause the armholes to flare away from the body after repeated wear.
Close-Fit Recovery with 8% Spandex
The 8% spandex content supports flexibility through the chest, waist and shoulder area. Fabric growth and recovery should be measured after washing and wear simulation to confirm that the semi-fitted silhouette returns to its approved dimensions.
Body width, waist shaping and finished length can be revised for close-fitting, semi-fitted or straighter collection proportions.
