These custom women’s grid-print cargo pants combine a relaxed full-length shape with an elasticated drawstring waistband, practical side pockets and large flap cargo pockets. Fine charcoal lines form a diagonal grid across the pale-grey body, giving the utility silhouette a cleaner and more graphic appearance. Spandex adds flexibility through the waistband, seat, knees and leg openings. Recovery and shrinkage should be tested after laundering so the wide-leg measurements, pocket position and finished length remain consistent during repeat production.

Diagonal Grid Print and Cutting Direction

Fine intersecting lines create a diamond-grid pattern across the full garment. Because the artwork is geometric, fabric direction becomes visible around the waistband, center front, cargo pockets and turned cuffs. All panels should follow the approved orientation so the grid does not appear tilted or mismatched.

Managing Pattern Continuity

Exact line matching may not be required across every seam, but the scale and direction should remain visually balanced between the left and right legs. Pocket flaps and pocket bodies should also be checked together so the printed lines do not create obvious irregularities.

Elasticated Waistband and Drawcord Adjustment

The gathered waistband provides flexible waist fitting, while the center-front drawcord allows the wearer to adjust the opening. Elastic width, extension and recovery should be approved with the finished waist measurement so the waistband remains secure without creating excessive bulk.
