Product Details

This custom women’s cargo midi skirt combines a high-rise fly-front construction with a straight below-knee silhouette and large utility pockets positioned along both sides. The 245 GSM after-wash cotton-polyester knit has a softened dark charcoal surface that supports streetwear and urban casual collections. White curved embroidery adds contrast across the cargo pocket flaps, while the center-front seam and clean lower hem keep the longer shape visually balanced.

Fit High-rise straight midi silhouette with controlled hip room

245 GSM After-Wash Knit with Structured Midi Drape

Cotton Comfort with Polyester Support

The cotton content provides a softer, more natural surface, while polyester helps the skirt maintain its length, pocket shape and straight silhouette. At 245 GSM after washing, the fabric has enough body to support the cargo details without creating the stiffness of a conventional heavy woven utility skirt.

Approving the Finished Wash Character

The after-wash specification should be used when evaluating shade, handfeel and finished dimensions. Washing can influence shrinkage, surface variation and edge definition around the waistband, seams and pockets. Bulk garments should therefore be compared with the approved washed sample rather than only with unfinished fabric.

High-Rise Waistband and Fly-Front Construction

The skirt uses a structured waistband with belt loops, a center button and a fly-front opening. Waistband width, finished waist measurement and closure position should be approved together so the top edge remains level and comfortable without creating pulling around the button or zipper area.

The center-front opening should remain flat after washing. Stabilization, zipper length and sewing tension need to suit the knit fabric so the fly does not twist, ripple or extend unevenly during wear.

Center-Front Seam and Straight Midi Proportion

A vertical center-front seam divides the body and reinforces the longer straight silhouette. The seam should remain aligned with the waistband button and fly opening before continuing toward the lower hem. Accurate grain direction and controlled feeding help prevent the skirt from twisting toward either side.

Hip width, total length and lower sweep should be reviewed together so the skirt maintains its clean column shape while providing sufficient room for walking and sitting. Alternative back vents or side slits can be introduced during development when additional movement is required.

Curved Front Pockets and Hip Balance

Curved front pockets provide practical hand access while retaining a familiar casualwear construction around the upper hip. Pocket opening length, reinforcement and bag depth should be approved on body so the edges remain flat and do not pull away from the skirt.

Embroidered Cargo Pockets and Utility Placement

Balancing Pocket Scale with Skirt Length

Large flap cargo pockets are positioned along the outer thighs, creating the main utility feature of the style. Pocket width, height and placement should remain symmetrical and proportionate to the midi length so the details remain visible without overwhelming the straight silhouette.

White Curved Embroidery on Washed Black Fabric

The pocket flaps use curved white embroidery to create a graphic contrast against the washed charcoal ground. Artwork scale, stitch density, thread shade and backing should be tested on the actual fabric. Balanced embroidery tension helps prevent puckering or distortion around the flap edges.

Hem Stability and Walking Ease

The lower hem should remain level across the front, sides and back after laundering. Hem circumference and stitch extension need to provide comfortable movement without creating waviness or excessive flare. Finished length should be reviewed with the intended footwear before bulk grading is released.

Custom Options for Private Label Programs

Private label cargo skirt development may include:

  • Alternative cotton-polyester ratios, weights and wash effects
  • Custom waistband heights, closures and belt-loop constructions
  • Adjustments to rise, hip width, total length and lower sweep
  • Different cargo pocket sizes, placements and flap shapes
  • Custom embroidery, printing, patches or raised logo applications
  • Optional back vents, side slits, labels and branded packaging

Sample approval should confirm the wash result, waistband fit, fly stability, pocket alignment, embroidery quality, walking ease and post-wash measurements before bulk cutting begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the skirt length be adjusted?

Yes. The style can be developed at knee, midi or longer lengths, with the hip width and lower sweep revised to maintain comfortable movement.

Can the cargo pocket embroidery be customized?

Yes. Artwork, thread color, stitch density, position and pocket-flap dimensions can be developed according to the approved branding direction.

Can a back vent or side slit be added?

Yes. Vent depth, slit position and reinforcement can be selected during pattern and sample development when additional walking ease is required.

What should be approved before manufacturing?

Confirm the after-wash weight, fabric shade, waistband fit, fly alignment, cargo pocket placement, embroidery stability, skirt length, lower sweep, shrinkage and finished measurements.

Confirming Walking Ease Before Cargo Pocket and Bulk Measurements Are Released

Review the washed sample for waistband comfort, fly-front stability, center-seam alignment, pocket access, embroidery quality, hip balance, finished length and lower-hem movement. For sampling and quotation, provide the target quantity, size range, preferred skirt length, wash reference, pocket requirements, embroidery artwork, branding details and any available technical files.
