Product Details

These custom women’s grid-print shorts combine a relaxed high-rise silhouette with an elasticated drawstring waistband, angled side pockets and softly curved hems. The pale blue-grey base is finished with fine diagonal grid lines, giving the style a cleaner graphic direction than a plain lounge short. The 230 GSM cotton-spandex jersey provides natural comfort, flexible movement and enough body to support casualwear, travel, resort and coordinated set collections.

Main composition 95% cotton, 5% spandex
Fabric weight 230 GSM
Fabric structure Stretch cotton jersey knit
Fit direction Relaxed high-rise silhouette with comfortable leg volume

230 GSM Cotton Jersey with Everyday Flexibility

High Cotton Content and Natural Comfort

The 95% cotton content provides a softer, more natural surface suitable for casual shorts worn directly against the skin. At 230 GSM, the fabric offers enough density to maintain the pocket shape and curved hems without becoming as heavy as conventional sweatshirt fleece.

Five Percent Spandex for Fit Recovery

Spandex provides flexibility through the waistband, seat and leg openings. Recovery, shrinkage and finished width should be tested after laundering so the shorts retain their approved waist measurement, rise and hem shape during repeated wear.

Diagonal Grid Print and Direction Control

The all-over artwork uses fine intersecting lines to form a restrained diamond-grid effect. Because the pattern is geometric, line direction becomes visible around the waistband, center front, pockets and side seams. Fabric orientation should remain consistent during cutting so the grid does not appear tilted between garments.

Managing Print Distortion on Stretch Jersey

The grid should remain evenly spaced when the fabric is relaxed. Excessive extension during printing, cutting or sewing may distort the lines and create irregular diamond shapes. Print clarity, color depth and post-wash appearance should be approved before bulk production.

Elasticated Waistband and Drawcord Adjustment

The gathered waistband provides flexible waist fitting, while the center-front drawcord allows additional adjustment. Elastic width, extension and recovery should be approved together with the finished waist measurement so the waistband remains secure without creating excessive gathering or pressure.

Keeping the Waistband Level

Waistband stitching should remain parallel across the full circumference. Uneven elastic tension may cause one section to gather more tightly or sit higher than another. Drawcord exits, cord length and metal or molded end finishes can be adjusted according to the trim direction.

Angled Side Pockets and Hip Balance

The side pockets are positioned for comfortable hand access while maintaining a clean front appearance. Pocket opening length, angle and reinforcement should be reviewed on body so the edges remain flat rather than stretching outward through the hip.

Controlling Pocket Bag Bulk

Pocket bag depth and material affect how smoothly the shorts sit through the front body. A pocket bag that is too heavy may show through the outer fabric, while insufficient depth reduces practical use. Both pockets should remain equal in height and opening angle.

Curved Hem Shape and Leg-Opening Comfort

The softly curved side hems create an athletic-inspired shape and provide additional movement at the outer leg. Hem curves should remain symmetrical on both sides, with balanced stitch tension to prevent rippling, twisting or edge flare after washing.

Maintaining Front and Back Hem Balance

Inseam length, side-seam rise and hem depth should be approved together. Uneven cutting or feeding may cause one leg to sit higher than the other. Final inspection should confirm matching leg openings and consistent curve placement.

Relaxed Short Fit and Rise Control

The shorts provide comfortable room through the hip and upper thigh without using an oversized shape. Front rise, back rise and crotch extension should be reviewed during fitting to maintain coverage and movement while avoiding excess fabric at the center front.

Matching-Set and Travel Collection Use

These printed shorts can be paired with a sleeveless polo top, T-shirt, tank or lightweight zip layer using the same grid artwork and color standard. Solid-color tops can also be developed from the pale ground shade to create coordinated travel, lounge and resort assortments.

Buyer FAQs for Stretch Cotton Printed Shorts

Does the fabric provide stretch?

Yes. The 5% spandex content provides flexibility and recovery through the waist, seat and leg openings.

Can the grid pattern be customized?

Yes. Line width, spacing, direction, base color and print color can be developed according to approved artwork or fabric references.

Can the inseam and hem shape be changed?

Yes. Rise, inseam, side length, leg opening and curved-hem depth can be revised during pattern and sample development.

What should be approved before manufacturing?

Confirm fabric handfeel, print direction, waistband recovery, drawcord length, pocket position, rise balance, hem symmetry, shrinkage and post-wash measurements.

Confirming Grid Direction Before Waistband, Pocket and Bulk Measurements Are Released

Review the sample for print orientation, waistband comfort, drawcord position, pocket opening, rise balance, curved hem shape and post-wash dimensions. For sampling and quotation, provide the target quantity, size range, print artwork, color standard, preferred inseam, waistband requirements, branding details and any available technical files.
