Product Details

These women’s modal-blend curved-hem shorts combine a soft midweight fabric with an elasticated drawcord waist and a relaxed leg opening. The rounded side hem gives the silhouette a lighter athletic line, while the clean front panels keep the style suitable for more than training use. Developed for activewear, studio, athleisure and casual programs, the shorts can work as a standalone bottom or as part of a coordinated set.

Modal-Blend Softness with Everyday Stretch
230 GSM Fabric Balance
The fabric combines 53% polyester, 38% LENZING Modal and 9% spandex at 230 GSM. Polyester supports durability and shape stability, while the modal content gives the surface a softer hand and a smoother drape. The spandex percentage adds stretch and recovery, helping the shorts move more comfortably through everyday activity without relying on a very lightweight or sheer construction.
Relaxed Fit and Curved Leg Opening
The leg shape is relaxed rather than compression-based, with a curved side opening that creates more visual movement and extra room around the thigh. The overlapping hem line should remain smooth and symmetrical on both legs. Because the fabric has stretch, the hem construction needs enough flexibility to avoid restricting the opening or causing the curved edge to roll.
Waistband Control, Pocket Shape and Hem Accuracy
The waistband combines internal elasticity with an adjustable drawcord, so elastic recovery, channel width and cord length need to be checked together. Uneven gathering can affect both comfort and front balance, while poorly positioned drawcord exits can pull the waistband off center.
Curved pocket openings and the rounded side hem are the main visible construction points. Sampling and in-line inspection should review pocket symmetry, topstitching distance, side-seam alignment, leg-opening shape and drawcord security. These checks help the approved shorts remain consistent when the style moves into bulk production.
From Studio Sessions to Casual Sets
The combination of a soft hand, medium weight and relaxed leg opening makes the shorts suitable for studio warm-ups, light gym use, travel, lounge-to-street outfits and coordinated athleisure sets. They can be paired with fitted tanks, cropped sweatshirts or relaxed tees. The clean black color direction also supports seasonal color extensions without making the curved construction difficult to read.
Private Label Options for Active Bottoms
Women’s active shorts development may include:
- Custom colors and coordinated drawcord or metal-tip finishes
- Adjustments to fabric weight, surface hand and stretch level
- Changes to waistband height, side length and hem curvature
- Alternative pocket depth, opening shape and internal construction
- Heat-transfer logos, embroidery or print after artwork review
- Woven labels, care labels, hangtags and branded packaging
Development can follow a tech pack, reference garment or revised fit brief. Changes to fabric weight, waistband construction or hem shape should be sampled together because each adjustment can influence recovery, pocket position and the overall leg opening.
Sampling and Order Planning
Sampling is used to confirm waistband recovery, drawcord function, pocket placement, hem symmetry, opacity and overall fit before production. Order quantities can be discussed according to fabric availability, color count and trim requirements. For an accurate quotation, provide the target quantity, size range, preferred colors, branding method and any reference measurements or technical files.
