This piqué scuba side-slit A-line midi skirt combines a smooth taupe surface with a wide high waist, softly flared body and controlled side opening. The piqué structure adds subtle texture, while the TENCEL™-rich blend keeps the longer silhouette from appearing rigid. It suits refined casualwear and transitional collections.

225 GSM Piqué Scuba with Light Structure

Drape Supported by a Stable Knit Construction

TENCEL™ fiber contributes softness and a smoother fall, while nylon and cotton help the fabric retain shape. Wool adds light warmth, and 1% spandex provides modest flexibility.

Keeping the Piqué Surface Even

Piqué texture should remain consistent across the front, back and waistband panels. Cutting direction and pressing pressure require control so the surface is not flattened around seams. The approved standard should define texture depth and acceptable variation.

Wide High Waist and Upper-Panel Balance

The broad waistband creates a clean upper line and supports the softly flared skirt body. Waist circumference, stabilization and seam elasticity must be checked together. The horizontal panel seam should remain level without rippling or adding bulk.

Soft A-Line Drape and Vertical Stability

Controlling Growth in a Longer Knit Skirt

TENCEL™-rich fabrics may relax vertically under garment weight. Panels should rest before cutting, followed by a hanging test. Front, back and side-seam lengths must remain balanced after laundering.

Maintaining an Even Hem Sweep

The skirt should open gradually from the upper panel. Grain direction and hem turning need control so the lower edge remains level and free from twisting.

Side Slit Construction and Movement

The side slit adds walking ease while preserving the long A-line silhouette. Its upper endpoint requires reinforcement. Slit height and hem alignment should be reviewed across the size range before grading.

Fiber Naming and Performance Checks

“Wormwood” is not a standard generic fiber name used on most international care labels. The official fabric certificate should confirm its regulated designation before labeling. Bulk testing should cover pilling, dimensional change, recovery and colorfastness.

ODM Options for Piqué Scuba Midi Skirts

ODM skirt development may include:

  • Alternative skirt lengths, hem sweeps and slit heights
  • Adjustments to waistband depth and upper-panel shape
  • Side pockets, lining or internal waist stabilization
  • Matching tops and coordinated knit separates
  • Woven labels, hangtags and customized packaging

Buyer FAQs for TENCEL™-Blend Midi Skirts

Is the fabric a heavy scuba?

No. At 225 GSM, it is lighter than many conventional scuba fabrics.

Will the skirt become longer after hanging?

Some vertical relaxation is possible, so wash and hanging tests should be approved.

Can the side slit be adjusted?

Yes. Slit height, position and reinforcement can be modified according to the intended movement and coverage.

What should be confirmed before manufacturing?

Priority checks include fiber naming, GSM, piqué texture, waist stability, vertical growth, slit strength and finished length.

Confirming Fiber Labels Before Waist Structure and Slit Height Are Released

Review the sample for waistband support, panel balance, piqué definition, vertical growth, slit strength and hem level. For sampling and quotation, provide the quantity, size range, fabric certificate, color standard, target length, branding details and technical specifications.
