Product Details

This Lyocell-wool rib twist-shoulder top combines a fitted body with an asymmetric neckline, one extended cap sleeve and a knotted shoulder detail on the opposite side. The soft sage color keeps the silhouette understated, while the directional shoulder construction gives a simple rib top a more contemporary position. It suits modern casualwear, elevated basics and warm-weather layering collections.

Main composition 86% Lyocell, 8% wool, 6% spandex
Fabric structure 2×2 rib knit
Fabric weight 200 GSM
Fit direction Close fitted body with asymmetric shoulder coverage
Design detail Twisted shoulder knot with one-sided cap sleeve effect

Lyocell-Wool Rib with Soft Drape and Light Warmth

Fluid Touch with a Refined Surface

Lyocell gives the fabric a smooth handfeel and fluid drape, helping the fitted body follow the silhouette without appearing rigid. The wool content adds a finer warm touch and slightly richer surface character, while remaining light enough for a sleeveless or asymmetric top.

Stretch Recovery from the 2×2 Rib Structure

Six percent spandex works with the 2×2 rib to provide flexibility and recovery through the chest, waist and neckline. Stretch percentage, width recovery, pilling and dimensional change should be approved after relaxation and washing. The 200 GSM weight offers useful coverage without making the garment bulky.

Asymmetric Shoulder Construction and Twist Control

Keeping the Knot Position Stable

The shoulder twist must sit at the intended point without rotating toward the neckline or armhole. Twist depth, seam allowance and internal reinforcement should be tested on-body. Too much tension may distort the neckline, while a loose construction can make the knot collapse after washing.

Balancing Two Different Armhole Shapes

One side has extended shoulder coverage while the other creates a more open sleeveless line. Both armholes require separate grading and recovery standards. The open side should stay close to the body without gaping, and the cap-sleeve side should not pull the neckline off center.

A Directional Basic for Modern Casual Collections

The sage tone pairs naturally with denim, linen shorts, wide-leg trousers and neutral skirts. The fitted rib body works as a clean base, while the shoulder twist gives enough visual interest for standalone styling. It can also sit beneath lightweight jackets without adding excess volume.

Private Label Options for Twist-Shoulder Rib Tops

  • Alternative twist placements and shoulder-cover directions
  • Adjustments to neckline width, body length and fit
  • Different rib gauges, fabric weights and wool percentages
  • Solid colors, marl effects or garment-washed tones
  • Heat-transfer labels, hangtags and customized packaging

Buyer FAQs for Asymmetric Rib Tops

Will the wool content feel itchy?

Comfort depends on wool fineness and finishing. A physical fabric sample should be approved for direct skin contact.

Can the twist be moved to the other shoulder?

Yes. The pattern can be mirrored or redeveloped with a different knot position.

Will the open armhole stretch out?

It should remain stable when rib recovery, edge tension and grading are correctly controlled.

What should be confirmed before manufacturing?

Priority checks include twist stability, neckline balance, armhole recovery, wool handfeel, shrinkage and finished measurements.

Approving Twist Tension Before the Asymmetric Grade Is Released

Review the approved sample for knot position, neckline balance, cap-sleeve coverage, open-armhole fit, rib recovery and post-wash dimensions. For sampling and quotation, provide the target quantity, size range, color reference, fit standard, branding details and technical files.
