Product Details

This sand-washed scuba belted peplum jacket combines a relaxed upper body with a defined waist and softly flared hem. The stand collar and full-front zipper create a clean base, while the wide self-fabric belt gives the style a more polished lifestyle direction. It can work alone or as part of a coordinated trouser set.

Silhouette Relaxed shoulder with a belted waist and peplum-shaped hem

Sand-Washed Scuba with Soft Structure and Recovery

Rayon Handfeel with Polyester Stability

Rayon gives the fabric a softer touch and smoother drape, helping the peplum hem fall without appearing rigid. Polyester supports shape retention through the collar, zipper line and waist area. Four percent spandex provides movement across the shoulders and improves recovery after the belt compresses the body.

Controlling the Sand-Washed Finish

The wash should create a softened surface without producing excessive shade variation, seam abrasion or uneven shrinkage. Bulk approval should compare handfeel, color, width, GSM and dimensional change against a finished physical standard. Matching trousers must be washed under the same conditions to avoid visible set-to-set color differences.

Balancing the Zip Front, Belt Position and Peplum Hem

Keeping the Center Front Flat

The zipper must remain straight when the jacket is worn both belted and unbelted. Uneven tape tension can cause the front edge to wave, especially in a soft stretch fabric. Collar height, zipper length and top-stop position should be approved together.

Defining the Waist Without Distorting the Body

Belt width, buckle placement and waist position determine the final proportion. Belt loops should hold the belt securely without pulling the side seams. The lower panel needs enough flare to create a clean peplum line while remaining balanced at the front, side and back.

A Belted Layer for Matching Sets and Travel Capsules

The jacket can be paired with straight-leg trousers, wide-leg pants or fitted bottoms in the same fabric. Unbelted, it works as a relaxed zip layer; belted, it becomes more defined for travel or lifestyle collections.

  • Alternative colors and coordinated bottom designs
  • Adjustments to collar height, body length and peplum volume
  • Custom belt widths, buckle shapes and covered hardware
  • Different zipper finishes, pockets and seam placements
  • Labels, heat transfers, hangtags and customized packaging

Buyer FAQs for Sand-Washed Scuba Jackets

Can the jacket be produced without the belt?

Yes. The body can be developed as a clean zip jacket, although waist shaping and hem volume may need adjustment to maintain balance.

Should matching trousers use the same wash lot?

Yes. Coordinated sets should be washed and shade-approved together to reduce color and handfeel differences between garments.

Can pockets be added without affecting the peplum shape?

Side-seam or concealed welt pockets are possible, but their position should be tested so they do not add bulk at the waist.

What requires approval before bulk production?

Priority checks include zipper flatness, collar shape, belt position, buckle security, peplum balance, wash shade and finished measurements.

Confirming Belt Placement Before the Waist Shape Is Graded

Review the approved sample for zipper alignment, collar support, belt position, buckle scale, waist ease, peplum fall and wash consistency. For sampling and quotation, provide the target quantity, size range, color references, matching-set requirements, hardware preferences, branding details and technical files.
