Product Details

These sand-washed modal interlock flare pants combine a high waist with a close upper leg and a controlled bootcut opening. The front avoids visible drawcords and bulky pocket construction, positioning the style for studio-to-street, travel and lifestyle collections. A concealed side closure keeps the waistband uninterrupted and supports a retail presentation.

Sand-Washed Modal Interlock for Soft Structure
300 GSM Compact Double Knit
The fabric contains 75% Modal and 25% polyester in a 300 GSM interlock construction. Modal gives the trousers a softer touch and smoother fall, while polyester supports shape stability. The double-knit structure adds enough body to keep the fitted thigh and lower flare visually controlled without creating the rigid feel of a heavy woven trouser.
A Muted Surface Rather Than High Shine
Sand washing softens the surface and reduces an overly polished appearance. This makes the fabric more suitable for relaxed premium collections that sit between activewear and everyday dressing. The approved wash standard should be reviewed for hand feel, shade consistency and surface evenness before bulk fabric is released.
Waist Fit, Knee Position and Hem Proportion
Because no spandex is listed in the composition, the pants should not be presented as compression leggings. Comfort depends on the interlock’s natural give, accurate pattern measurements and enough ease through the hip, thigh and knee. The concealed side closure also needs to lie flat without creating bulk at the waistband.
The flare begins below the knee, so knee placement and finished inseam directly affect the silhouette. Sampling and in-line checks should cover waist level, rise balance, side closure operation, leg symmetry, flare width and hem length. These controls help preserve the intended proportion through bulk production.
Positioning for Refined Lifestyle Bottoms
The clean waistband and moderate flare make these pants suitable for travel, studio warm-ups, soft commuter dressing and coordinated lifestyle ranges. They can be paired with fitted zip tops, fine-gauge knitwear, cropped sweatshirts or clean sleeveless layers. The style is better suited to low-impact and everyday use than high-intensity training.
Custom Development for Flare Pant Programs
Custom flare pant development may include:
- Custom colors and alternative sand-wash levels
- Adjustments to rise, waistband height and side closure
- Changes to knee position, flare width and finished inseam
- Alternative internal waist finishing and seam construction
- Labels, hangtags, logo applications and branded packaging
Development can follow a tech pack, reference garment or revised fit brief. Changes to fabric weight, wash level or flare ratio should be reviewed in a new sample because each adjustment affects drape and finished length.
Product Development FAQs
Are these pants designed as compression leggings?
No. The composition does not include spandex, so the style is positioned as a fitted lifestyle pant with natural interlock give rather than compression support.
Can the flare width and inseam be customized?
Yes. Knee position, flare opening and finished inseam can be revised for different collection proportions and target markets.
How should the sand-wash standard be approved?
The final hand feel, surface appearance and shade should be confirmed against an approved fabric or garment sample before bulk production.
Setting the Flare Ratio Before Grading
Before size grading begins, the sample should be checked for waist comfort, rise balance, side closure, knee position, flare width and finished length. For an accurate quotation, provide the target quantity, size range, preferred colors, inseam requirement, branding details and any technical files.
