Product Details

These sand-washed modal scuba pintuck flare pants combine a close upper-leg fit with a controlled flare from the knee. A softly gathered paperbag-style waistband, functional drawcord and pressed front pintucks give the pull-on design a cleaner, more tailored appearance. The deep navy color and smooth scuba body suit premium casualwear, travel collections and coordinated knit sets.

Main composition 36% modal, 55% polyester, 9% spandex
Fabric weight 330 GSM
Fabric structure Sand-washed modal-blend scuba knit
Fit direction High-waisted fitted flare silhouette
Key details Ruffled drawstring waist, metal eyelets, front pintucks and full-length flared hems

330 GSM Modal Scuba with a Sand-Washed Handfeel

Soft Surface with Compact Body

Modal contributes a smoother touch and softer drape, while polyester supports dimensional stability and a clean surface. At 330 GSM, the scuba has enough body to hold the pintuck line and lower-leg flare without becoming overly rigid. The sand-washed finish should remain even across all garment panels.

High Stretch and Recovery Control

The 9% spandex content provides substantial flexibility through the waist, hips and knees. Recovery, seam extension and permanent growth should be tested after wear and laundering. Panels need sufficient relaxation before cutting to prevent uneven leg length or twisting.

Ruffled Waistband and Functional Drawcord

The upper waistband extends above the drawcord channel to create a soft gathered edge. Gathering should remain evenly distributed without collapsing or rolling. Eyelet reinforcement, drawcord length and waist-seam elasticity require approval in the fitted sample.

Front Pintucks and Leg-Line Symmetry

Keeping the Pintuck Straight

Each pintuck should run vertically from the upper leg toward the hem without drifting toward the inseam. Stitch tension and panel feeding must remain consistent so the raised line does not ripple. Both trouser legs should mirror each other after washing and pressing.

Controlling Flare Placement

The flare should begin at the same height on both legs and expand smoothly toward the hem. Knee width, flare opening and inseam shape need coordinated grading so the silhouette remains balanced across sizes.

Sand-Wash Consistency and Surface Performance

Sand washing can alter shade, handfeel and surface appearance. Bulk standards should define the approved softness and acceptable color variation. Testing should cover pilling, abrasion, colorfastness, shrinkage and stretch recovery after the complete finishing process.

Full-Length Hem and Vertical Growth

Stretch scuba may lengthen under garment weight, especially through a full flared leg. Hanging tests should be completed before the final inseam is approved. Hem depth and stitch elasticity must prevent waviness, tunneling or uneven flare edges.

Custom Options for Modal Scuba Flare Pants

Custom flare-pant development may include:

  • Alternative waistband heights and gathering levels
  • Different pintuck widths, flare openings and inseams
  • Internal elastic support or cleaner flat-waist constructions
  • Matching tops, jackets and coordinated scuba separates
  • Custom labels, drawcord hardware, hangtags and packaging

Buyer FAQs for Sand-Washed Scuba Pants

Does the fabric provide strong stretch?

Yes. The 9% spandex content provides substantial flexibility, so recovery testing is important.

Can the flare opening be adjusted?

Yes. Knee width, flare start point and hem opening can be modified during pattern development.

Will the sand wash create shade variation?

Some variation is possible, so an approved bulk shade range should be confirmed before production.

What should be confirmed before manufacturing?

Confirm waistband recovery, pintuck symmetry, flare balance, wash shade, vertical growth and finished inseam.

Confirming Vertical Growth Before the Pintuck and Flare Length Are Released

Review the sample for waistband comfort, gather distribution, pintuck alignment, knee fit, flare balance and post-wash length. For sampling and quotation, provide the quantity, size range, wash reference, target inseam, drawcord standard, branding details and technical specifications.
