Product Details

This custom women’s ruched mock-neck top combines a clean sleeveless silhouette with a softly raised neckline and gathered side seams that shape the lower body. The 330–340 GSM rayon-blend knit provides a smooth drape while retaining enough density to support the neckline, armholes and ruched construction. The light heather-grey surface works across elevated casualwear, loungewear, travel and athleisure collections and coordinates naturally with matching shorts or wide-leg pants.

330–340 GSM Rayon Blend with Soft Body
Rayon Drape and Smooth Handfeel
Rayon contributes a softer surface and allows the fabric to fall naturally through the chest and lower body. The substantial weight gives the top a more polished appearance than lightweight jersey while preventing the ruched sections from looking thin or unstable.
Polyester Stability and Spandex Recovery
Polyester helps maintain dimensional stability, while spandex provides flexibility through the neckline, bust, armholes and waist. Fabric relaxation, recovery and shrinkage should be tested before bulk cutting because changes in width or length can affect both the body fit and gathered side seams.
Mock Neckline and 380 GSM Rib Support
The raised neckline gives the sleeveless shape a more refined and structured appearance. A heavier 380 GSM rib can provide additional recovery and help the neck opening maintain its shape. Rib height, neckline circumference and attachment tension should be approved together so the collar sits comfortably without stretching outward or pressing too closely against the neck.
Keeping the Neck Opening Flat
The neckline seam should remain smooth and level around the body. Uneven rib extension or excessive sewing tension may create rippling, twisting or an irregular top edge. Post-wash checks should confirm that the neckline retains its original height and circumference.
Side Ruching and Waist Shaping
Gathered side seams create controlled volume through the lower torso and allow the top to sit more closely around the waist. The amount of gathering should remain balanced on both sides so the hem and body length appear even. Unequal elastic or seam tension may cause one side to sit higher than the other.
Controlling Gather Distribution
Ruching should be distributed smoothly rather than concentrated in one area. Gathering length, elastic extension and stitch security need to be confirmed during sampling. The side seams should remain comfortable and flexible without creating excessive thickness against the body.
Sleeveless Armhole Coverage and Recovery
The shoulder width and armhole depth provide a clean sleeveless profile while maintaining coverage around the upper body. Armholes should sit flat without gaping at the front or back. Edge finishing must remain flexible enough for movement and recover after repeated dressing.
Balancing Underarm Comfort
Underarm height should be reviewed on body to prevent rubbing or excessive exposure. Seam extension and reinforcement are especially important around the lower armhole because this area receives repeated tension during wear.
Body Length and Hem-Level Control
The top is designed to finish near the waistband of high-rise shorts or pants. Side gathering may reduce the visible length, so front, back and side measurements should be approved after the ruching is applied. The lower hem should remain flat without twisting, tunneling or flaring after laundering.
Heather Grey Surface and Matching-Set Use
The light heather-grey finish supports minimal casualwear and coordinated lifestyle collections. This top can be paired with pintuck shorts, wide-leg pants or relaxed lounge bottoms using the same main fabric and rib quality. Shade, texture, stretch and recovery should be aligned across all matching garments.

Buyer FAQs for Rayon-Blend Mock-Neck Tops
Is the side ruching adjustable?
The image shows gathered side seams, but no visible external drawcord. Adjustable or fixed ruching can be selected during product development.
Can the neckline height be changed?
Yes. Neckline height, opening circumference and rib construction can be revised during pattern and sample development.
Can the top be developed in a fitted silhouette?
Yes. Chest width, waist shaping, body length, shoulder width and armhole depth can be adjusted according to the required fit direction.
What should be confirmed before manufacturing?
Confirm the final fabric composition, main and rib handfeel, neckline recovery, armhole coverage, gathering balance, body length, shrinkage and post-wash measurements.
Confirming Side-Gather Balance Before Neckline and Bulk Measurements Are Released
Review the sample for neckline comfort, shoulder coverage, armhole shape, gather distribution, waist fit, body length and finished hem level. For sampling and quotation, provide the confirmed fabric composition, target quantity, size range, preferred fit, ruching construction, color standard, branding details and any available technical files.
