Product Details

These wash-down TENCEL™ denim pleated culottes combine the familiar appearance of blue denim with a softer, more fluid wide-leg silhouette. Double front pleats shape the upper body without creating excessive bulk, while the cropped length and broad hem give the trousers a clean culotte proportion. The style suits casualwear, resort collections and lightweight denim programs.

270 GSM Lyocell-Blend Denim with Softer Movement
Denim Appearance Without Heavy Rigidity
Lyocell gives the fabric a smoother handfeel and more fluid drape than conventional cotton denim. Polyester supports stability, rayon adds softness, and 1% spandex provides light wearing ease.
Controlling the Wash-Down Finish
The wash should create an even blue tone while preserving seam definition and fabric strength. Bulk standards should define shade range and handfeel. Testing should include colorfastness, crocking, shrinkage and strength after washing.
Front Pleats and High-Waist Proportion
The front pleats provide room through the hip and help the wide legs fall vertically. Pleat depth, direction and spacing should remain symmetrical on both sides of the fly. The waistband must sit smoothly without pulling the pleats open.
Fly Front, Belt Loops and Waist Construction
Button placement, zipper length and fly overlap must suit the high-rise pattern. Belt loops need even positioning and reinforcement. Waistband support should remain compatible with post-wash shrinkage.
Wide-Leg Balance and Cropped Length
Maintaining Equal Leg Volume
Front and back panels should hang evenly without twisting. Leg opening and outseam length need checking after relaxation and washing. The wide shape must remain balanced across sizes.
Lower-Leg Panel Seam and Hem Stability
The horizontal seam near the hem adds structure to the cropped proportion. Both legs must align at the same height without rippling. Hem depth and topstitch tension should remain consistent.
Production Control for Lyocell Denim
Lyocell-rich denim may show puckering, fibrillation or vertical growth if washing is not controlled. Fabric should rest before cutting, and measurements should be approved after the final wash. Shade continuity is especially important across the wide legs.
